A fabulous series of gigs and one of my all-time favourite programmes. There was a real buzz in the performances and thanks to over 200 people who came to listen.
We had some great arrangements including Bernie's (bass) In A Sentimental Mood. Also Do Nothin' Till You Hear From Me (Tamir Hendelman); Caravan (Dave Grusin); Just Squeeze Me (Oscar Peterson). There was more Oscar Peterson in the second half - his super swinging version of Younger Than Springtime and his own original Hymn To Freedom which turned out to be the hit of the series.
